Dr. Krant has been practicing orthopedics in South Florida since 1973, and in Hollywood since 1975. His special interest is in diagnosing and treating hand and upper extremity problems, but he has an excellent reputation as a general orthopedist.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY then moved to Atlanta, GA. He won the Georgia state Spelling Bee two years in a row and went to the National Bee in Washington. In 1962 he graduated cum laude from Harvard College and in 1966 from Harvard Medical School. He had two years of surgical residency at the University of Minnesota and did his orthopedic residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. This was followed by two years as a major in the U.S. Army at Valley Forge Hospital in Pennsylvania. In 1975 he finished a hand surgery fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.
Dr. Krant’s interests include sports, computers, puns and puzzles, and his family. He is married to Elizabeth Howard, and has two beautiful daughters.
